What You’ll Do

The Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, safe removal of gray water at the EKs sites replace water tank with fresh potable water. Water trucks are equipped with two tanks – one for potable (clean) water and another for grey (used) water.

In addition, the Water Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports
  • Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies
  • Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize down time; clean waste (Gray water) from the water tanks on each trip.
  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, (Driver will follow route set up by PK Manager, driver to fill daily Fresh and Grey Waterlogs – Daily and upon start of shift)
  • Fill clean water tank with fresh water at designated Filling Site – review routes and sites with your manager/supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions:

 Operate vehicles requiring normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot

 Occasionally lift and carry items, up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
